I am a fully qualified accountant and work for Genni capital. Recently I have been promoted and am expected to recruit the people for the accounts team from now on. I have noticed that basically no job agency can be trusted because the recruitment advisors are only interested in short term profit rather than building long term ties so often foist you off with a group of people that dont really meet the requirements (they know you have to employ one due to your time frame). Dont get me wrong they obviously aren’t bad but i just wouldn’t call them the creme dela creme of accountants.
Basically its on online database of the very best accountants so companies can find the best accountants much quicker, there will be a number of requirements to join a bit like a social networking site only rich and famous people can join.
The requirements would be something like
- 10 years working exp
- Have to have led a team at a small or large company
- Have to have worked for a large company
- Have to have references that are excellent, not just ‘he’s a good worker’
- have to have passed the online test thats on the site. The test will thoroughly assess their mental maths, memory, working under pressure, ability to work with distractions etc
They will also provide a full job history and who they currently work for, basically an online CV.
This idea could of course be expanded to other jobs but since i am an accountant i thought i would start with them. The site would be much more efficient than recruitment sites or sites like LinkedIn because only the best would be on there. What do you think?
