Excellent vintage dining room sets home inspiration
Whether you are planning a formal dinner or an informal meeting with friends, the care you take in putting your dining room table can express the thought you put to entertain your guests. It is not difficult to set a beautiful table with things you already have.
Plan your center piece
When it comes to the central parts of a dinner, of course, we tend to think of flowers and candles, and probably the most common ones, but you do not need to stick to tradition. A beautiful tray of red apples can be ideal arranged in a simple but elegant pyramid. Or try a set of white-colored candles with different heights placed on a mirror or a transparent glass marble tray. Your dinner table will shine.
If you choose flowers, make sure your arrangement looks good from all directions because your guests will sit around it, and it’s not long enough for people to see it to follow the conversation.
Decide on the use of linens
One of the first steps in setting up the table is deciding which linens to use. The white tablecloth and traditional napkins are considered for formal dinner, while the tablecloth or counterclothes work well for an informal gathering. If the table cover contains fold marks from storage, heat it with steam or place it in the dryer with a damp towel for a few minutes.
Napkins do not have to be identical with table cloth but must match each other. In a formal frame, the napkin is folded or wrapped in a napkin loop and placed in the dinner bowl or to the left of the thorns. If you are placing an informal table, you can place the napkin under the thorns or on the dinner plate. Try some creative folding techniques for your informal settings.
Choose your dining utensils
When it comes to utensils, it is not important that everything be exactly the same. Use the standard whiteboard on the golden charger plates to get a very formal look or use the same panels with the different power boards for an informal setting. Add the grandma’s dishes with the little floral taste and the golden edge a touch of old magic.
Silverware is used for the most formal table settings, but otherwise stainless steel tableware is not good. The general rule for the arrangement of flat instruments is that they are arranged in the order of courses that are offered, starting from the outside and working in the direction of the painting. Always fork on the left with knives and spoons on the right. Knife blades must be parallel to the inside of the board. If you are our bread and butter dishes the knife is placed across the plate.
Arrange your glassware
Using a simple but stylish stemware is an easy way to bring a sense of quality to any table whether your settings are planned for an official gathering or a few friends who drop in for luck. If you are preparing a cup for only one wine, place it on the tip of the knife. If more than one cup is used, follow the same rule as the dishes and arrange in the order in which they will be used in the form of a triangle above the knife.
Remember that there are some strong and quick rules when setting up your dining room table. Even with a formal framework there is room for flexibility and creativity. What is more important is the time you spend in sharing with family and friends around the beautifully defined table.
